Dracula, I almost melted when I saw your collection... I don't know if you stole the display stand or what, you bought it? How lucky for you to buy promotional items.
O goodness. A whole room for Snicket! Help me not to die.

I was wondering if theres anyone obsessed as much as I am, I'd like to think I'm at lest in the top10 fans in the world, but maybe not. I asked the people at my local bookstore if i could have the PP display stand when they were done with it, they said they were not sure if they could give it away, but they still took my phone # to call me in case, I was very lucky when i got the call to come pick it up, it made my extremely happy to be able to get it! And for free! I got most of my promo items through the power of e-bay. But yes I am very pleased with my collection. And I plan to acquire much more, I hope to have everything before I die, but i don't think I'll manage to obtain everything.

Dracula ( ???I don't know, if I'll use Ms, or Mr: you don't display your gender below your avatar ), I forgot to ask you if you possess a scanner, and if you also happen to have TUA postcards, which I believe exists. *pause* Dracula, do you possess a scanner, and do you also happen to have TUA postcards, which I believe exists?Oh, and... Merry Christmas to all who posted here in this thread.

TBB-I bought it with some extra money my parents gave me for a book fair. I only bought it because said money was burning a hole in my pocket. I thought I would hate the book, and it took me several months, and a rainy day to finally pick it up. I have since been in utter adoration of the series.
Before I joined 667 Dark Avenue, the 'ex libris' page has contained one initial, 'B' for Betheny. Post-667...'A' for Alice. Also, does anyone else write the dates they got their books?
I once tried to run away, but realized I couldn't fit all the books in my suitcase, so I decided I had better stay.
I have two copies of TCC because I couldn't wait for the book my grandmother ordered to arrive. I went out and bought it the day of its release.
The first time I read any of the books was in a corner of my kitchen. From TBB through TPP I have always read the books the day I got them, in one setting, usually listening to my mother make dinner.

I almost got a spare copy of TBB yesterday, because I saw it specially packaged with The Blank Book, which I don't yet have. I decided against it, though. Edit: Also, I recently won second prize in a contest on The Quiet World, which means I will at some point receive a collection of rather cool promo items.

TBB through TCC: TBB through half of TEE I, er, read in bookstores, with breaks of several months in between. But I did eventually get TBB, TRR, TWW and TMM in a U.K. box set, and then I ordered actual copies of TAA through TCC. I got all these a few months before the (British) release of TSS. TSS, U.A.: I ordered these from Amazon.co.uk and got them on the same day. BBRE: I ordered this from Amazon.co.uk, and it's an American edition, since there doesn't seem to be a British equivalent that has the endnotes. It was supposed to be dispatched within twenty-four hours, but actually took two weeks. I suspect they had it shipped over from America. TGG: Ordered it from Amazon.co.uk, and got it about four days after the release date, which was thirteen days after the U.S. release date anyway. TPP: I got my mother to get it from a bookstore on the release date. She ended up having to try three different stores. Because of this: Edit: Also, I recently won second prize in a contest on The Quiet World, which means I will at some point receive a collection of rather cool promo items. I now add to my list the following: Promo items: 1 Snicket sticker sheet; 5 Snicket buttons/badges/pins; 1 pack of Misfortune Telling Cards; 1 packet of TGG tissues; 1 TGG flashlight/torch; 3 Snicket mirrors; 1 set of collapsible binoculars.

Cool. I've got some pictures of mine. Books 1-6: Books 8-12, But TVV is lent to my mom's friend. I made that Sugar Bowl myself, BTW: My Snicket books arranged in a tower, along with TUA and Truth Behind ASOUE; TVV is gone because of me lending it to my Mom's friend, and TCC is gone because I forgot to put it there. (It's in one of my displays. I'll post those If I ever get my digital camera working.): My items, not much, but.... My TPParlor Game, Movie Soundtrack, X-box game, and DVD of the movie itself: My Violet Movie T-Shirt, though I wish I had the "Run Orphans, Run" one: And, last of all, my pride and joy - A Papier Mache I spent weeks on in art, and barely anyone knew what it was except for the readers of ASOUE 12, which my ever-so-fathful school library got in JANUARY, months after the release, so nobody knew what it was, so I had to explain over and over that it was the Baudelaires at the Concierge Desk, and half of them didn't even know what in the Sam Hill a Concierge WAS. Isn't that tragic?:

...And just today I received The Blank Book from Amazon.co.uk, after having spent quite a while thinking I wouldn't get it. Then I realised I'd end up getting NNotations and PPuzzles, so I thought I should have a full set.
