I just off the phone ordering my tickets for Snicket's tour stop here in Milwaukee. The bookstore hasn't even posted it on their web site yet. With any luck, I'll get ticket #1!

Oh, I need to get tickets for the Downers Grove appearance sometime. I'd forgotten about that. You reminded me. Thanks.

OMG! He's coming to Ann Arbor! I can make it there!
I'm not sure if I'll have to buy tickets though. Probably. Can anyone tell me along what lines a ticket to one of these events costs?

Setnick: The tickets for Downer's Grove aren't available yet. Keep checking andersonsbookshop.com for more information.
Mystress: The appearances typically cost around $15 and include a copy of the book along with the appearance and book signing.

Oh, dear. And this is per person? Hmm.... I MIGHT be able to raise enough. My mother's friend, Ellie, is taking me, but I know my brother will want to come. And so will my best friend. I don't know! The Michigan Theater, where Lemony/Handler will be appearing, doesn't have the listing up on their site yet.

I think fifteen dollars is extraordinarily cheap, personally. I mean, the book alone would cost almost that much. Getting it signed and getting to meet Handler? Definitely worth it.
I mean, other events which I'd like to attend (such as, oh, I don't know, a taping of the Colbert Report) cost quite a bit more.

I think $15 is a super deal too. Just think of Snicketfires going to the doughnuts with Handler thing for $100.
Mystress, just keep watching the site. The other suggestion is to call the Borders store that is sponsoring the event. Sometimes they know more than the theater does.

OMG! He's coming to Ann Arbor! I can make it there! Me too! At least I hope, I asked Ami today if we could go, and she gave me an answer between a 'maybe' and 'yes'. That would be amazing if I could go. And besides, my sister, A., wants to go visit UofM there, so I could go the tour stop and she can go UofM.

I just e-mailed the person in charge of the Michigan theater and asked about the tickets. He should be getting back to me hopefully.

I would try calling the bookstore too. They are the ones making the arrangements with Harper Collins. The theater is just renting their space for the event. It looks like Borders is running it. You may need to call around if there is more than one Borders in Ann Arbor.

Called the Borders in Downtown Ann Arbor. They said it was a book signing only, though. Is this correct?

I doubt it. If he was just signing books, they could do it at the bookstore. If they are having it at a theater, I'm sure it will include his little performance before the book signing.

This would be the ultimate birthday present if I could go on October 31st to see him. Yay.
Although it's a school night and I don't think I could drive down. *sulk*

It would be over 300 miles, Jemima. Even I would have to think twice about a drive that long. But it would totally worth it if you went.

And if you did go, and I went too, we could have our meet-up there! And if would be possible to go there and back in a day, we did it when we went up north and came home by 11:00pm.
