Of course I will. I check a few times each day. The bookstore lady told me that as soon as the tickets are available, they will update the site. She claims they are very efficient at doing that.

I hope that they get the tickets up soon.... This would be, if I can ever GET THROUGH to the people at Borders, the only Snicket event I've ever attended, since I got into the series only two years ago, not even two! But sadly, the Borders site isn't showing any long-term event planning, and niether in the MI Theater. This all seems very wrong to me. Shouldn't there be tickets? I hate MI! EDIT: I tried calling the theater. I can't get through at all.

Update for anyone waiting on the Downer's Grove event. I spoke to the store manager this morning. He said the tickets haven't been printed yet. They are waiting on the theater for something. It might be a couple more weeks yet before tickets are available.

I talked to the people at the theater - they said it was a reading out of one of the books and that he wasn't coming there! I hate MI sometimes.....

Don't be satisfied with that answer! I think the theater people are just giving you the brush-off. Give it a couple weeks, and hopefully they'll figure it out.

A time has been announced for the November 14th show featuring Snicket in Vancouver.
After emailing Vancouver Kidsbooks for information on the event, I received a reply informing me that they've updated their website. It reads:
"Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 pm Lemony Snicket returns to Kidsbooks! He will be presenting his latest and last 'Book the Thriteenth [sic]: The End'. "
"The End" has a link to the Shocking Secrets, but I don't think it's necessary to post it. Anyway, I'm going to email them again asking about ticket information and venue.
Edit: They replied much quicker than expected. Okay, so the reply: "No, the flyer has the sale date as Tuesday October 3rd. at 9:30am And the event is not at Kidsbooks, is at John Oliver Auditorium."
The John Oliver auditorium is located in John Oliver Secondary: 530 East 41st Avenue Vancouver, B.C. V5W 1P3
Is there anyone else even attending this event, besides me?

Bonjour ya'll I will be attending Mr. Snickett's book signing/performance in Frisco (not to brag, but I am driving 8 hours) and I was wondering if that event requires the purchasing of tickets. I tried to call the Barnes and nobs where the even is scheduled, but they close at 7pm on sundays. only in Texas. Anyway, I am a newbie, please be gentle.

I called the B&N and they said they were handing out tickets at 9AM on the day of the event. Luckily, i will arrive thursday, but I felt I would still give Miss Alice? the heads up. (Is she the one who lives two hours away and just moved?) Anyway, I forgot to ask if I could bring the adult novels, since I would prefer he sign those. Don't get me wrong, I love SOUE, but I had two hardcover first editions of his novels and they mean a lot to me.

He hasn't refused to sign my copies of the adult novels, but then again, it wasn't at an official book-release signing. My ticket comes with a copy of The End to get signed. Is that included in anyone else's ticket?

I'm going to two book signings next month. Both include copies of The End, but each are a bit different. At the one, you get your book at the event and then get it signed, no substitutions, one book per person.
At the other event, they sent out book vouchers ahead of time. You can either get The End on Friday, or could cash it in for a store credit, or get The End at the event. At this event, he will sign other books, one per person, as long as they are HIS books. Of course why would I want him to sign someone else's books, duh?
So, I will get The End signed at the one event, and at the other event, I'm bringing other books to have signed (My husband is coming along). I'll probably bring TBB and TRR.
