Well then you better get your tickets as soon as they're available. When I went last year, he was signing books until 1 AM because there were over 600 people there. They went in the order that they bought tickets.

It would be over 300 miles, Jemima. Even I would have to think twice about a drive that long. But it would totally worth it if you went. I drive down to Ann Arbor all the time, and that's where my sister goes to college anyway. And if you did go, and I went too, we could have our meet-up there! And if would be possible to go there and back in a day, we did it when we went up north and came home by 11:00pm. That would work. The only thing is is that I want to trick-or-treat in my costume. Or maybe I could see Handler, meet up with Samreen, and go trick-or-treating in Ann Arbor! Yeah! I'm buying tickets as soon as possible.

It appears the tour has changed slightly.
Previously, the stop on Thursday, November 16th was to take place on in Cincinnati, Ohio. The web site now lists that date as being in Euclid, Ohio. Looking at Google maps, I see that Euclid is just outside of Cleveland. Yes, both cities are in Ohio, but on opposite ends of the state. Could be a problem for people that live near Cincinnati and were planning on going.

....FRISCO, TX?
FRISCO TEXAS? Oh, my sweet Jesus. Of course he'd come there after I had moved an hour and some ungodly number of minutes away. Well, my parents already said they'd take me. The 20th is a Friday, though...But I can't miss this.
Why oh why did we have to move?

Try calling the Borders store who is hosting the event. EDIT: Or, check out the added details about the tour on lemonysnicket.com. They've added a tour list now too. www.lemonysnicket.com/events.cfm

I called them. They said that they weren't doing tickets to it, and that it was a first-come, first serve event. But that can't be right. Can it? Have they done this sort of thing in the past?

The event near me is at a theater like in MI. I bought tickets already, but the bookstore hasn't said how they are handling the order in line for the book signing. First-come, first-served will NOT work. There will be way too many people and there will be big problems.
Somebody has got to know something. Somebody had to book the appearance and make arrangements with the theater. Besides that, it's Halloween night! They've got to have something planned.

www.lemonysnicket.com, on the page where it lists his appearances, at the top of the page says this: For Crying Out Loud a reading by Lemony Snicket with music by The Gothic Archies, featuring Lemony Snicket on percussion Does anyone have more info about it? Like, where it's taking place? Or is it a general heading for all the appearances?

I noticed that too. (Wouldn't that be far better than the show we endured in Naperville last year?) The author-tracker we got today says:
"Mr. Snicket will travel the country, warning innocent people not to read his latest work. In an alarming number of cases, he will appear with illustrator Mr. Brett Helquist and/or the musical group The Gothic Archies, who will soon release an entire album of music inspired by Mr. Snicket’s books."
I take that to mean that either Brett Helquist and/or TGA will be at each event. Since the Helquist appearances are marked as such, I would assume TGA would be at all the rest. Sound logial?

Today's AuthorTracker said that Snicket would be touring with Helquist and/or The Gothic Archies. I'd imagine that the heading applies to all appearances, otherwise it doesn't really make sense. This article says Snicket is touring with TGA, so I would imagine that they're with him every time.

Oh, wow. That's neat. I hope the Gothic Archies are there.
Too bad Helquist won't be at the Downers Grove event, though.

I suppose we shouldn't get greedy. Some people aren't even going to an event. Now, if Anderson's would just put the tickets on sale already. They told me by the end of August. That's tomorrow on my calendar.
