And "isn't". She spelled it as "isenet" or something. *cringe* Captiosus: Jerome, all you do is say "Atheists suck" and "I pity you" and "Jesus rawks". J: Atheists need evidence, which is one of the leading causes for Atheists--evidence; lack thereof from the side of believers, and a lot from science.

In my opinion, all gods exist, for everything that ever can be exists in the multiple alternate universes. Therefore all religions are equally true. In other universes, everything that has been thought of, and an infinity of things that haven't, are as real as you and me. Including heaven, hell, and the Baudelaire orphans. I'm almost creating my own science/philosophy/religion here, but you don't have to buy into it. I respect, not nescessarily agree with, all your beliefs. Perhaps that line in the pledge should be "under whatever gods may be", but that sort of destroys the rhythm of the pledge. Still, I have the right to change that part the pledge, and you-plural have the right to change it or not change it.

J: Well, the rhythm could change... Captiosus: Tocuna gets a cookie for being cool. J: And for giving an intelligent point on the side of religion. Captiosus: Hooray for her.

I think it's disrespectful when someone relates to a certain religion as "a bunch of crap" just because they personally don't believe in it. I myself have never followed or believed in any particular religion, although I do kind of believe in some of christianities stories and beliefs.

What are you talking about? Captiosus: Jerome, all you do is say "Atheists suck" and "I pity you" and "Jesus rawks". I meant I never said anything besides "I pity you" to athiests... Now, who needs to read carefully?

Goodness. To Jerome and PFW: The others are right. You do need better evidence to back up what you think. "The Bible says so" is not a good argument to use when dealing with people who don't believe the Bible. Any proof that the Bible is true, for example?
And anyways, why do you look down on other people because they don't believe the same thing you do? How is that different than, say, Hitler? Sheesh, I don't agree with them, but they're still people, and IT'S THEIR DECISION!! You can't force them to follow your beliefs, just like they can't force you to follow theirs.
And anyways, just because they have different beliefs doesn't make them bad people. Almost none of my friends are Christians (my best friend since first grade is Wiccan), but they're still great people. Likewise, being a Christian doesn't automatically make you a perfect holy being.
I really would like to be able to see well thought out arguments from other Christians in here, more than just, "Your stupid, your gonna burn in hell, to bad for you, you should become a Christian."
*sigh* Alright, any more discussion from me will be in the Theology topic which J started.

Goodness. To Jerome and PFW: The others are right. You do need better evidence to back up what you think. Okay, did it ever occur to you, that we are the only ones giving evidence, anyway... We give evidence, well I sure do, as to why God exist, but no athiests give evidence as to why he doesn't, hence, J creating the new thread... I mean, all the athiests do is say things along the lines of "Oh, well we can't see him, so he can't be real..." and "Oh, there is no proof that the Bible is real..." and garbage like that...
