I like that kind of 'AristoGothic'. Once in a while when I feel like I wear a black suit, a black shirt w/frech cuffs (w/cufflinks of course!) and a silver tie. Just add my aviator sunglasses and a strange smile, and I start scaring children on the streets. HUMPHUMBLY REQUESTING PICS PLZ

it's lyrics from the song Rape Van... check out that pimp ass rape van... i'd post more lyrics but...i'd get in trouble... and the picture is of a pimp ass rape van... honestly...it's more obvious than not wearing nail stuff because "goths like being different and alone" I didn't even know a song like that existed, but I adored your signature just because it was "RAPE VAN." It made me laugh so damn hard the first time I saw it. It's like a barbershop quartet gone horribly wrong. And now you changed it ;_________;

It was a band... not intended to be offensive. Anyway, talk this out with him (nicely... he doesn't hate you because you're new. heh).
I love the signatures now, Mamba and BSam. The Rape Van thing I didn't get, but this is good.

people would think im weird, i am a boy. I don't get that. I thought you said one of the perks of you being a "goth" was that you got to be "weird" and "freak people out". So...explain? Anyway...I don't know any "Real Goths". I'm interested in dark things and I usually wear black somehow, and such, but I wouldn't classify myself as goth either. I feel like talking about Hot Topic, as over-discussed as it already has been, so...forgive me. I think the main problem I have with Hot Topic is the people who think that they're being "cool and alternative" by shopping there. I like the clothes sometimes (though, I couldn't help laughing at the ones about being "different". That's a little much.), and I do go there a lot to get comic books (*hearts comics*), but on the whole, the place is ridiculous. The one at my mall is really squished as well...but, I do like the little thingos they have instead of alarm things...they're metal with big red...things. Pretty bent metal. I'm surprised that, since everyone knows that a lot of people shoplift from there, they don't put in detectors...but ah well. Anyway. I don't personally have a problem with goths. I rather like them, in fact. And the Gothic Lolita thing made me grin...that's so cool...I would dress like that, if I had the ability.

Hmmm....about two weeks ago I called someone who called herself a punk a goth. It took a lot of persuading to make her nice to me again. I think some people take these little 'person types' far too seriously. I don't think that dressing in black and acting sad makes you a goth. I don't really know what makes someone a goth.

So is it okay if I sound completely heartless? I don't really care about child labor. Okay, I do.. but seriously is there any company that doesn't use some form of sweat shop management? Independent chains? Yeah, sure, sweat shops don't just exist in China I'm quite sure everything you are wearing was made by either a child/woman for less than 5.00 an hour/in bad working conditions/ with little or no benefits. Heartlessness is all good. At least you said you were being heartless. I just try to buy as few Sweat Shop clothes as possible... I don't buy Nike or Gap clothes or most brand names at all, but I can never guarantee that I'm labour-free or whatever. I just really disagree with making people in third-world countries work for huge billionaire companies that exploit them and pay them terribly. It's not necessarily even just under 5.00$. Nike shoes pays 0.16$ per hour. They're not paid extra for overtime, get fined for stupid things, have never heard of the companies' Codes of Conduct. I just think that's wrong. And meanwhile, Phil Knight advertises like crazy. Anyone wearing Nike clothes/shoes/whatever is advertising for Nike. They walk around with these huge checks and it's become a HUGE trend. Nike's not just a brand, it's an attitude or a personality or an image or whatever. And advertising takes over everywhere and is constantly telling us to consume and I just disagree with all of it. Anyway, that was a stupid rant, and we're not talking about Slave Labour, we're talking about goths. So I'll shut up...

thanks...i wasn't too sure about gothic music apart from the cure, and perhaps bauhaus, but wasn't sure about that... as a member of the gothic subculture...what is your opinion on hot-topic? Hey, no problem. I think Hot Topic is a pretty cool place apart from the over-sized, over-priced shock rock pants and like someone else said "people trying to be different". And somethings just cost too much. But I think if you want to shop there, go for it. To me, you are either born "different" or you weren`t. And I guess I could say that I was born "different", haha. That sounded odd.

Or you could just take your comments to a thread I started last Oct. asoue.proboards11.com/index.cgi?board=discussion&action=display&thread=1067405847You know what annoys me about the "so-called" Goths. I can get past the bad clothing, caked on make-up, forgetting to dye their roots black... but I hated it when they talked about being so above everyone else conversation wise. That really irritated me in high school. They'd rant on and on and on and on about how if you bought your clothes from a certain place you were a sell-out, if you did this you were a sell-out, if you talked about something trivial you were a sell-out who can't handle "real" topics. Yet never in my life have I heard a "so-called" goth actually take part in a real conversation. They were too busy bashing people or complaining about how no one was talking about "real" life. And if someone did actually try to start a conversation the "so-called" goths wouldn't take them seriously because of how that person was dressed. Those sound like mean "so-called" goths.

Bah. Goths are just another clicque, for all they talk about the vapid superficial clicquiness of other cliques.
