I seriously doubt she will try to be heroic.

You never know - her near-death experience may have changed her outlook on life, causing her to live for the moment.

True, but unlikely.

Also may I point out that in the movie we just see her in the water and the narrator says something like, " Well you get the picture." Then her banana peel floats up, which means nothing seeing as she threw it away before they even saw the leeches. I really think she is alive and we'll be hearing if not seeing more of her. Lemony would never just let someone die like that. Most of the time he writes a lot about the death, wether its how the person died (TCC) , what others thought of the death (TMM), or even how the body looked (TRR). I sure hope my evidence has convinced you. ;D

While we should keep in mind that movie clues aren't applicable to the books, in this case the movie and book clues point in the same direction--Aunt Josephine may not be dead, as her death is described more vaguely than others in the series.
And maybe her experience has caused her to change, and appreciate life more. Perhaps she'll become more adventurous.

Come on people, she is not going to be heroic if she is in the next book, she will probably just come to the meeting for her husband and die in the fire that wil arise in Hotel Denounment. But What do you think the baudelaire's reactions would be if they saw Aunt Josephine again?

Yeah, and she could be Beatrice. I don't think that she would end up being Beatrice. Surely Lemony would love someone who is more brave and adventurous, not someone who would run away and hide instead of protecting the Baudelaires from Olaf.

I was being sarcastic. Aunt Josephine being Beatrice? That would be something BESTESTASOUEFAN would think of.

I just got another thought! Maybe if Ike is still alive, or if she sees the volunteers again she would get brave. I know the movie probably isn't reliable but in the movie she was brave when Ike was around.

Food may be tasty, but try to keep on-topic. Also, Question Mark, I've deleted your "Pizza" post, as it was only one word long, and it was off-topic.

Also, I think we can all agree that with evidence from the nameless novel .com the task one page does involve a recital and principal and Nero. There is no proof of it actually involving Nero, but to say it doesn't is quite a claim that would require lots of reasons why. So there's Nero (bk5). For July 16 there is a picture of Sir (bk4). And for July 18 there was a picture of Aunt Josephine (bk3). In TSS Carmelita returned and so did Bruce. In TGG Mr. Poe returned. There seems to be a trend of old characters returning. If Aunt Josephine, someone assumed dead, were to return the story would get very interesting. Weren't you all excited (maybe thats not the right word...) when we saw old characters again? Also, Quigley was also assumed dead. He returned. The Baudelaire Parents were at first assumed dead, but the plot seems to have changed for us to assume at least one is alive for now. So in conclusion there are two trends: old characters returning and people we assumed dead, we now assume alive. Aunt Josephine would be another part of the trend.
