Exact statistics.. nice!
She wasn't a monty death at all. We saw monty's dead body and knew exactly how he was killed. We did not see Josephine's body, there's quite a high probability she's alive based on facts we've discussed like her being a good swimming, knowing about Lake Lachrymose's surroundings, and wearing 2 life jackets.

Lemony has mentioned a lot about Aunt Joesphine on NN.com lately. There is also a picture of crows which probably means that Josephine might be at the Village of Fowl Devotees.
I think that she was rescued by someone who was in a boat and she told him to take her to the last safe place or to VFD and he took her to Village of Fowl Devotees...I don't know but I think she's alive...

Interesting evidence... Though I doubt Josephine would go to the Village of Fowl Devotees... She's probably at Hotel Denouement if she's alive.

There has been a lot of Josephine/TWW allusions on TheNamelessNovel and the Anwhistles were mentioned in TGG.
I think it's all leading up to Josephine coming back.

I think, thus far at least, one can still dismiss the mentions of her as randomness, but if they continue in earnest then I'll even start believing that she WILL come back, rather than simply acknowledging the possibility.

Have any of you explored the idea that Josephine could be J.S.? The "J" for Josephine, and the "S" would be whatever her maiden is, the last name before she was married. I know it's very doubtfull, but still....

I have but I've dismissed it because we don't even know if she's alive, and second she was still using the name Annwhistle as of tww when she had been widowed for some time already, nothing indicates she'd randomly go back to using her maiden name.

Its possible that she was wrongly accused of something and she uses anwhistle to avoid suspicion

I would think that Ike Anwhistle would be the reason she's familiar with V.F.D, so she'd be known as J.A, but there's no ruling out that she was a member of V.F.D before she and Ike wed.

Exactally. But... I don't know. Josephine in the movie is almost obviously a V.F.D.er.... In the books she did use a sort of code that she could have learned from V.F.D. But it's all speculation. We can't be sure. My number one theory in justice strauss. Remember, Sunny, In book 11, say Etartsigam, magistrate backwords, when Widdershins said J.S. coudn't be Jacques?
