I'm curious to know. Ive read allthe books and loved them, but is it gone? Is lemony going to write anymore books or what? Is going to start a new series totally different or a series based from the Baudelaire theme? I keep coming across the books "A series of unfortunate events, Or Orphans and Or Murder " what are those two books? TTwo books that hes going to launch?
I just want to know because id love to read more of his work!!! thanks,... and does anyone know what those books will be about

Here's our current thread about those books-- which are just reprints of TBB and TRR with new titles and supposedly a different format of some kind, but most likely no new material: asoue.proboards11.com/index.cgi?board=auto&action=display&thread=1160600897(The other book mentioned here, Horseradish, we really don't know anything about. But The End itself makes it pretty clear that there will be no new books dealing with the Baudelaire case.)

I think it would be cool if Handler took the name of another volunteer around the same time chronicalling the lives of three different orphans. I would also like a new series chronicalling the Quagmire triplets, or Beatrice Baudelaire the second.

It' s not the true end. We don't know what's in the sugar bowl, what is "?", who are "The man with beard but no hair " and "The woman with hair but no beard", what happened to Quagmires, etc. WE EVEN DON'T KNOW THE TRUE SECRET OF V.F.D.!

VFD= a whole bunch of other things too, not just the fire department. I hope he DOES write more. Or at least a companion series of some sort.

Of course, V.F.D as an orgranization is Volutteer Fire Department. But we really don't know what does V.F.D. do. They can't be just an organization of firemen

I think almost everyone has forgotton the mystery of JS, which I'm still trying to figure out. My theory is that JS is reall Lemony, for the following reasons:
1. When Quigley meets Jacques after the fire, Jacques claims to be investigating the Baudelaires. Quigley does not know who neither Lemony nor Jacques really looks like before the fire, so Lemony could easily have posed as Jacques.
2. Lemony might have needed to pose as Jacques, because everyone assumed he was dead, and had been the cause of arson, and murder and many other things Olaf really did.
3. Quigley sees the picture from Page 13 of the Snicket file, but could easily think that the man turned away could be the Jacques he knows, and time wise, his death co-incides with the time Quigley met him.
4. JS is at Hotel Denoument, in search of the sugar bowl. Some people think JS is evil, because they think he commited the crimes Lemony was supposed to have commited. Some people think he's good, because he's fighting against Olaf. Personally I think Lemony went there as JS in order to get the sugar bowl away safely in case Olaf released the Myceloid Mycellium, (if the whole Horseradish in the sugar bowl thing is real), for he would have known, if he was following the Bauds case, that the mushrooms had been stolen.

Amazing ideas, Sora. I never thought that JS could have been Lemony in TPP...it really does make a whole lot of sense though.

I think he'll write more. It's just makes perfect sense. He'll continue the Baudelaires story with a sequel series.

Although Daniel Handler has made several statements to the contrary, I should note. Question: Is this the absolute final book in this series? Answer: It is, indeed. Q: No Return of the Baudelaires or Baudelaires: Part 2? A: Not as far as I'm aware. And I think I would know. www.sltrib.com/arts/ci_4458268

In Question one: Is this the absolute final book in this series? {He could continue with another series by a different name.}
In Question 2: No Return of the Baudelaires or Baudelaires: Part 2? A: Not as far as I'm aware. And I think I would know. {He never states he is completely through with them. Just at this point........}

Yeah, but come on. The End was pretty final, and I think that Horseradish will really be the last ASOUE thing we'll ever get (besides another possible movie), so no I think The End is really is most definately, THE END.

In my opinion, The End left way to many unanswered questions. Where are the Quagmires? Where did the Baudelaires go? Did they survive the trip? Where is Lemony Snicket? Where is Ink (Incredibaly Deadly Viper)? Will Violet ever see Quigley again? Will Klaus ever see Fiona again? What is The Great Unknown? Where are Phil and Captain Widdershins? Has the Medusoid Mycelium been destroyed? What happens to Mr. Poe? Do the Baudelaires stay out on their own? And many more.
