In my opinion, The End left way to many unanswered questions. Where are the Quagmires? Where did the Baudelaires go? Did they survive the trip? Where is Lemony Snicket? Where is Ink (Incredibaly Deadly Viper)? Will Violet ever see Quigley again? Will Klaus ever see Fiona again? What is The Great Unknown? Where are Phil and Captain Widdershins? Has the Medusoid Mycelium been destroyed? What happens to Mr. Poe? Do the Baudelaires stay out on their own? And many more. Really, since when did Handler ever answer every question that he posed? I thought he did quite well for tying up loose ends, especially since he wrote himself into corners on some things. He's also made it clear that some things we'll never know the answers to. He's not trying to please everyone. |

do you all think that there will be any more movies? and are they going to combine 4,5,and 6? because i personaly think that they could make the movies far more interesting and more detailed if they did 1 or 2 at a time because im the first movie they left out alot of details.

Why would he have written the Beatrice letters if he wasnt going to write a story about Beatrice 2? I mean, he tells us quite a bit and im sure everyone wants to know what happens to B and how she separates herself from the Baudelaires and her quest to find them.

Why would he have written the Beatrice letters if he wasnt going to write a story about Beatrice 2? To fill in some of the backstory between Beatrice and Lemony that we've been wanting for so long but which wouldn't fit in in Book the Thirteenth, and to hint at the conclusion of Book the Thirteenth at the same time so as to make the book longer and make it into more than just filler for the holes in the plot, and to create more ambiguity, intrigue and mystery for even after the end of the series both as a parting gift for the fans and to inspire us to further contemplation and imagination? |

Why would he write a story about Beatrice 2? He's using his usual ambiguous style so from his point of view we know all about Beatrice 2 that we need to.
She's kit's kid and an orphan
Adopted by the Baudelaires
set out to find Lemony
I guess he doesn't feel the need to tell us if Lemony ended up meeting with her.

I'd love for him to make a book called The Excrutiating Epilogue, based on the search for the Baudelaire orphans in the view of Beatrice Baudelaire (Kit's Daughter), or even what happens to the Quagmire triplets and Captain Widdershins, etc.

I agree with Dante--Handler really needs to give us some of that background story. Besides pleasing readers, it would be a good financial move as well.

I meant that that was why he'd written TBL; I wasn't giving reasons why he should write another aSoUE book. I personally think he shouldn't write any more; we've got all we need and anything more would just be selling out.

Really? I don't know. If he wrote another book I'm pretty sure people wouldn't think he was over-doing it. I mean, TBL was great and all, but it left me wondering about Beatrice, of course.

Many didn't understand the theme of The End, it seems.
The point there was that, even though a question seems important, the book can still be a good story, even by leaving the question unknown. I know that many people were upset at the number of questions that were left unanswered, but I do think that Snicket will be finished with this series after Horseradish.

I liked it very much, but I was a little bit disapointed cause it hasn't got a really end...I thougt that it will be a really and but I can imagine the end...maybe it's good too  |
