Good luck reading TBL, Charlie... although a lot of fanon does seem to come from nowhere but readers' heads. That's what makes it fanon rather than something hinted at in canon.

I have this weird headcanon that Stew Mitchum is Carmelita’s uncle and married Bruce. He was the one saying “Come back to bed” in TPP.

…isn't it? I always thought it was another case of Handler sneaking allusions and puns in his characters' and places' names, just like with "Caligari Carnival".
