Out-of-universe, yes, I think there's little doubt that that was the authorial intent; but it's not clear that the hospital is named after Dr. Heimlich in-universe, in much the same way that you might say it's not clear that Caligari Carnival was deliberately named by its original founder after the famous motion picture.

We've always supposed that G on the family tree is Gregor. But I'm now wondering: is it actually set down anywhere that he is Ike's brother? (Might he be the father of the three, with D as their mother?)

TGG p. 77: "Anwhistle Aquatics was founded by Gregor Anwhistle, the famous ichnologist and Josephine's brother-in-law." If Gregor was Josephine's brother-in-law, he can only have been the brother of Isaac "Ike" Anwhistle.

Speaking of the Antwhistles, in my headcanon, I've always believed brother H to be Hector.

Here are my headcanons. Some of them are a bit weird, but there you go. 1. The songs in The Tragic Treasury exist in-universe. Smile! No One Cares How You Feel was a song in Al Funcoot’s play One Last Warning To Those Who Try To Stand In My Way. 2. Sunny also develops an interest in music as she grows older. 3. Esmé’s mother died when she was young, and the sugar bowl was a gift from her, which is why she values it so much. 4. Carmelita is adopted. Her birth mother is Geraldine Julienne. 5. R’s first name is Ramona. 6. Sunny only has vague memories of the events of ASOUE, but still sometimes has dreams recalling everything that happened. 7. Carmelita had a beautiful singing voice, but it was permanently damaged by the Hotel Denouement fire and all the fires she set afterwards. 8. Esmé, Carmelita and all the other firestarters in the hotel were rescued from the fire by the eagles, and helped prevent anyone else from escaping the building.

Very interesting headcanons here:
5. Any special reason why Seattle? I don't think it's any real city, but I think the city is specifically isn't is San Francisco. 12. Ooh yes, I like that. 16. I'm doubtful about this one. I think a lot of people adopt it because of his saying 'aye', but 'aye' is nautical as well as Scottish. 19. I thought that for a while, but I think they turned out to be a woman. 21. I agree. I think he is the manager of the theatre. 22. That may well be an added reason, but as you proceed with TUA you'll find there is more to it than that.
